Volta ao Algarve broadcast to 120 countries

The 44th Volta ao Algarve (14-18 February) will be broadcast to 120 countries from the five continentes.
The cycling fans from Portugal to New Zeland, from Japan to Canada, from South Africa to Norway, can see 60 to 90 minutes of each stage. In Portugal the race will be broadcast by Eurosport and TVI24. The Eurosport is in charge of the international broadcast and distribution all over the World.
It’s the second year in a row that the Portuguese race have international live broadcast. In 2017 the Volta ao Algarve has been seen in 54 countries. The quality of the peloton attracts the public and the media focus to the race. In 2018, the peloton will have 13 WorldTour teams, a record to the event. There are more than 100 professionals of the media accreditated to cover the race.
Last year the Volta ao Algarve reached a great number of 997 news about the race, 485 of it outside Portugal.
With the live broadcast of the Volta ao Algarve, the Portuguese Cycling Federation, organizer of the event, wants to show that Portugal is a great place for cycling during the whole year, even in winter.
