Increasing TV coverage for the Volta ao Algarve in 2019

The 45th Volta ao Algarve – 20 to 24 February 2019 – will have more TV coverage than it had in the previous years, with more time of live broadcast in channels with bigger audience.
The race have two main media partners, the Eurosport for the international broadcast and the Portuguese channel TVI for the national live broadcast and for all the news around the race.
In an international level the great news is that the live broadcast will increase from 60 to 90 minutes every day. On the other hand, for the first time, the Volta ao Algarve will be available in Eurosport 1 and not only on Eurosport 2. It means that the potential audience will grow from 88M homes to 148M homes.

Eurosport also have the rights to distribute the live coverage to the whole world. In 2018 the race was seen live in 120 countries.
In Portugal, TVI24 will broadcast the last kilometers of each stage. The news and reportages about the Volta ao Algarve will be broadcast in TVI24 and in the main channel TVI.
The Volta ao Algarve is one of the best Portuguese sporting events. The 2019 edition will receive some of the best cycling teams in the World.
