Accreditation Process

The formal accreditation request period for the 52nd Volta ao Algarve is now closed.

Accreditation is granted only to professionals holding a valid press card recognized by the following entities:

  • National Press Association
  • International Sports Press Association
  • International Cycling Journalists Association

Accreditation Centre

  • Date: February 17th (Tuesday)

  • Time: from 14:00 (2:00 PM)

  • Location: Auditório Municipal de Albufeira (Rua do Município, 8200-863 Albufeira)

Professionals with confirmed accreditation may also pick up their credentials before the start of each stage.

Press Rooms

  • Press Truck (Mobile Press Room): Available at the finish line area on all stages.

  • Additional Physical Rooms:

    • Vilamoura: Hotel Tivoli (10:00 – 19:00)

    • Lagos: Polícia Municipal de Lagos (12:00 – 19:00)

    • Tavira: Piscinas Municipais (14:00 – 19:00)

    • Monchique: (Support provided exclusively at the Press Truck)

    • Alto do Malhão: (Support provided exclusively at the Press Truck)

  • Stage 1 (Feb 18): Vila Real de Santo António – Tavira, 185.6 km

  • Stage 2 (Feb 19): Portimão – Fóia (Monchique), 157.1 km

  • Stage 3 (Feb 20): Vilamoura – Vilamoura (ITT), 19.51 km

  • Stage 4 (Feb 21): Albufeira – Lagos, 182.1 km

  • Stage 5 (Feb 22): Faro – Malhão (Loulé), 153.1 km
