The peloton of the 43rd Volta ao Algarve (15-19 February) is already closed with the addiction of three teams, the British Sky, the French Cofidis and the Dutch Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij.
The Portuguese 2.HC race will be attended by 24 teams, 11 of them from the WorldTour level. Inspite the races added to the WorldTour calendar in February, the Volta ao Algarve still deserves the trust of the most part of the first division teams.
The Portuguese Cycling Federation, organiser of the Volta ao Algarve, thanks the preference of the teams and is sorry because can´t accept the participation request of many great blocks.
