The team Trek-Segafredo is the last surprise of the impressive peloton of the 43rd Volta ao Algarve that will be held from 15 to 19 February 2017.
The colective from the USA is the 12th WorldTour team assuring the presence in the early season Portuguese race. With Trek-Segafredo the Volta ao Algarve confirms itself as one of the best races outside the WorldTour circuit, attracting 12 of the existing 18 first division teams.
The recent changes on the international calendar opened the opportunity to the return of the team Trek-Segafredo to a race in which the colective won a stage on the last edition.
The 43rd Volta ao Algarve will be attended by 25 teams. The peloton can have 200 riders, the maximum allowed by the regulations. It is a big security challenge, but the organiser of the race will work give the best conditions to cyclists and teams, in order to have a great cycling event.
