The Volta ao Algarve counts, in 2019, with a bicycle ride exclusively for women. This initiative is called Women’s Volta ao Algarve and will take place in Albufeira at 9:30 am on February 23rd, at the same place where, hours later, the fourth stage of the professional race will start.

The participation in the Women’s Volta ao Algarve is free of charges and reserved exclusively for women. Entries are already open and are free, but mandatory, guaranteeing the right to participate, insurance and gifts offered by the sponsors.

The Women’s Volta ao Algarve is a stimulus for the practice of sports by women’s. It is intended to attract to the cycling and to the Volta ao Algarve the feminine public, joining in a peloton of conviviality experienced female cyclists with women who are taking their first cycling rides. Therefore, the course will be accessible to people of all physical conditions.
